$600,000 Settlement – Construction Injury

Two undocumented male day laborers were hired to work on a building owned by the defendant. On November 1, 2014, the building's masonry facade collapsed. One of the workers sustained crush injuries to his right foot with degloving, and multiple fractures of the 2nd-4th metatarsals, while the other was killed. He was survived by an adult daughter who lived in Mexico, and a minor son who lived in Illinois.
