David J. Vander Ploeg has joined the Chicago law firm of Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, as an associate.

Romanucci & Blandin provides clients with experienced and skilled representation in catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death and workers’ compensation claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Vander Ploeg was an associate at two Chicago law firms, and before that, he clerked for a law firm in Omaha, Nebraska.

He focuses his practice on a variety of civil trial matters including personal injury, nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, and product liability. Also experienced in handling mass tort cases, including pharmaceutical liability cases, he has assisted in the recovery of millions of dollars in settlements for those harmed by dangerous and defective drugs.

Vander Ploeg is involved in several professional organizations including the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.

He received his J.D. in 2003 from Creighton University College of Law in Omaha, Nebraska, and his B.A. degree in 1998 from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.
