Attorney - Sexual Abuse Practice Group

October 20, 2022

Romanucci & Blandin, LLC seeks to add an attorney with 4+ years of litigation experience to join its Sexual Abuse practice group. The practice group has represented and/or currently represents survivors in cases against numerous private and public institutions, including but not limited to Boy Scouts of America, the Boys & Girls Club, University of Michigan (abuse involving Dr. Robert Anderson), professional sports teams, the Estate of Jeffrey Epstein, private and public schools, elite private boarding schools, orphanages, foster care programs, hospitals, mental health facilities, Fortune 500 companies, and countless religious institutions and related entities.

The attorney would also work on some general personal injury cases including third-party work accident and product liability cases, premises liability, toxic exposure cases, and motor vehicle accident cases.  The practice group represents plaintiffs in matters in federal and state courts throughout the nation, leading many catastrophic injury cases.

Responsibilities will include managing a docket of cases, including all aspects of litigation (investigating potential cases; filing lawsuits; discovery; taking depositions; settlement negotiations; motion practice and hearings; trial; post-trial motions). The attorney will work directly with clients, co-counsel, and other attorneys in the firm often in a team environment. The position may involve travel. The position also involves assisting the team in vetting potential cases.

Candidates must be motivated and possess the ability to work well on a team, but also be energetic self-starters with initiative. The position requires outstanding research and writing skills, the ability to communicate effectively, a creative approach to litigation, and a commitment to social justice. Prior experience handling sexual abuse cases is not required; however, candidates with prior experience as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney are preferred.

NO telephone calls. Please submit a cover letter, resume, references, transcript, and independent writing sample to Managing Partner Gina DeBoni at careers@rblaw.net.
