Romanucci & Blandin, LLC is seeking a high energy, high performing full-time Website and Communications Coordinator who is eager to contribute to and learn at the nationally recognized trial practice. The personal injury lawyers at Romanucci & Blandin are based in Chicago, Illinois and the lawyers actively support their communities and provide advocacy at the national, state and local levels. In addition to success for clients in the courtroom, the firm is actively involved in legislative reform to improve our communities and our country.

The Website and Communications Coordinator will be a key contributor to the law firm’s newsroom-style Communications Team that tells and shares impactful stories to reporters, lawmakers, community groups and others. The Website and Communications Coordinator will focus on managing the Communications team technical platforms (web, social media and internal programs like InDesign) and executing day-to-day tasks of the Communications team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reports to the Chief Communications Officer and works closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications on initiatives and projects to build awareness and affinity for the RB brand. Includes ideation, technical execution, and reporting of results.
  • Manage the content and maintenance of RB’s website, with particular focus on writing to maximize SEO and working with SEO vendor to identify improvement opportunities across digital platforms.
  • Manage the day-to-day social media content, writing, proof-reading, posting on various firm platforms including press releases, graphics, announcements, blog, events, videos and news stories. Monitor activity and engagement of posts.
  • Assist with the day-to-day media relations and press coordination for the law firm including managing virtual press conferences and monitoring media results. Some writing of content of press releases and other PR-related communications.
  • Oversee, write, edit and distribute mass email communications and newsletter efforts for the firm. 
  • Manage the creation, gathering of content, distribution, and tracking/reporting of related data for firm leadership.
  • Work independently and handle ongoing projects simultaneously.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of professional experience or internships in marketing and communications.
  • Web Site Content Creation and Maintenance
  • Management of multiple social media channels
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO
  • Writing Skills for social media, newsletters, occasional press releases
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills (including proofreading and copyediting) and ability to synthesize information
  • Proficiency with common IT applications (Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail systems) and basic understanding of HTML (web updates), Photoshop, Illustrator, Dropbox, InDesign
  • Strong project management, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Good organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with other people in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to make smart decisions and adapt to changes, especially under fast-paced, occasionally stressful conditions
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to apply them to improve organizational and technical effectiveness
  • Self-starting individual with proven ability to take ownership for results and driving change
