Attorney Martin Gould Awarded the Milton H. Gray Award

June 16, 2021

Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, is pleased to announce that Attorney Martin Gould was awarded the Milton H. Gray award from the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) for “Outstanding Project Leadership for the creation, implementation, and success of the Racial Justice Coalition.” Gould was a member of the team that created the group in 2020, dedicating resources to service with other bar associations, community engagement and education on diversity and inclusion. Among other things, the Racial Justice Coalition held a panel discussion to discuss the origins and implications of the federal George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which is currently being considered in Washington, D.C.

As said by the CBA: The Gray Award honors outstanding project leadership and is presented during the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) Annual Meeting to the leaders of a YLS project for exceptional performance in that role throughout the year.

Additionally, Martin was appointed as Second Vice-Chair on June 2, 2021 by the YLS of the CBA. The YLS provides great opportunities for professional growth, community service, and networking to its approximately 7,000 members, which include attorneys in their first 10 years of practice and law students.

Martin has dedicated his career to complex litigation and catastrophic injury group, representing individuals and classes of victims in wrongful death, toxic exposure, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, auto accidents, sexual abuse, including priest abuse, product defect, and airline crashes. Martin has played a key role in securing numerous record-breaking multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients who have been harmed as a result of wrongful conduct.

In addition to obtaining significant recoveries for his clients, Martin takes on many cases where he believes he can change policies or the law to protect future generations. In that regard, Martin has represented countless victims of childhood sexual abuse, and currently represents dozens of individuals in cases against the Boy Scouts of America and religious institutions. He has helped shed light on systemic abuse and cover-ups while securing millions of dollars in settlements.

“Martins dedication to not only fighting for justice, but obtaining justice is exemplary. He is fully committed to his clients and is a great role model for all attorneys. We are proud of him for being appointed Second Vice-Chair of this meaningful organization,” said Gina DeBoni, managing partner of Romanucci & Blandin, LLC.
