ComEd Bribery Harm

MASS TORT ATTORNEYS | ROMANUCCI & BLANDIN

Romanucci & Blandin is proud to represent Illinois consumers and businesses harmed by admitted bribery of state officials by the utility company.  In the summer of 2020, Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) entered into a Deferred Prosecution Agreement with the United States Attorney’s Office, where ComEd admitted to the bribery of Illinois elected officials to obtain favorable legislation and secure exorbitant corporate profits as a result. Shortly thereafter, Romanucci & Blandin attorneys along with their co-counsel filed a class action complaint on behalf of individual and business customers of the electricity provider and their corporate parent, Exelon, to recover the amounts of money taken from them.

Romanucci & Blandin’s Founding Partner Stephan Blandin is Co-Lead Counsel in this class action, which represents the rights of more than four million ComEd energy consumers across the State of Illinois.  The class action seeks to hold ComEd and its parent company Exelon accountable for their criminal actions and to restore the money they illegally obtained.
