Romanucci & Blandin Attorney Javier Rodriguez, Jr. presents at ITLA ethics seminar

Romanucci & Blandin Attorney Javier Rodriguez Jr. gave his Ethics in the Zoom Era presentation to fellow lawyers at the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association Education Fund's 2023 Ethics and Professionalism Seminar on Friday, March 31. Javier discussed the November 2022 Illinois Supreme Court amendment that changed the guidelines of remote appearances in circuit court according to Court Rule 45. 

"While the courts of this state may slowly begin to re-incorporate certain in-person proceedings, the fact remains that attorneys practicing before the courts of this state must continue to abide by those professional responsibilities that guide our profession, even if operating from the comfort of their own home and appearing over Zoom for the majority of their courtroom appearances," Javier told his audience.
