$4,100,000 Settlement – Police Misconduct

June 7, 2011 Chicago Police Officer Gildardo Sierra shot Flint Farmer, an unarmed 29-year-old, seven times. The last three shots were captured on squad car video, which showed Farmer laying on his side in the fetal position. Police had responded to an alleged domestic battery call when Farmer ran from the scene. Prior this incident, Officer Sierra had been involved in three police-related shootings during 2011 but was still on the job.
