Law Clerk Program

2025 Summer Law Clerks and Interns on the Clark Street Bridge, near our offices.
Romanucci & Blandin’s Law Clerk Program is a results-driven, legal skills development program that provides law students with actionable experience and engagement with experienced attorneys and staff. Romanucci & Blandin’s Law Clerk Program draws students from across the country and is offered year-round or as a summer-only program.
R&B law clerks are assigned within a practice area group of the firm to work side-by-side with the partner, attorneys and paralegals in that group. In their clerk role, they learn the steps necessary to build a case from start to finish, preparing it for success in litigation and at trial.
The R&B Law Clerk Program provides clerks with the opportunity to participate in and work on the various aspects of the cases within the firm. For instance, law clerks may research and help draft complaints. They may review discovery, draft written discovery requests or respond to discovery requests. Furthering that experience, many clerks will have the opportunity to prepare their assigned attorney for a deposition and attend it. As cases progress, law clerks may assist with research and drafting of motions and responses to motions, as well as with trial preparation.
A key focus of the R&B Law Clerk Program is to ensure that all law clerks are actively working to help the firm advance its efforts to fight for justice for clients.
In addition to working on cases, law clerks participate in trainings and programs that ensure they understand the life of a case and the litigation process. In the past, clerks have participated in a series of Coffee Talks, learning from attorneys and other firm leaders about different aspects of the litigation process each week. They have also been part of a Law Clerk boot camp put on by the firm’s paralegals, which delved into additional aspects of the life of the case and the practical aspects of practice beyond drafting and courtroom appearances.
In addition to the work, law clerks attend select firm events and other fun networking and social events, making the experience both educational, practical and exciting.
Clerks will leave R&B with a better understanding of the practice and a sense of accomplishment, knowing they have been part of a team working to fight for justice for those harmed with serious injuries or damages. They will make a real difference.
