Zantac Cancer Cases

Romanucci & Blandin is proud to represent more than 600 individuals who developed cancer after taking the recalled heartburn medication Zantac. This national mass tort involves tens of thousands of users of Zantac, with lawsuits filed in courts all over the country seeking damages relating to their cancer diagnoses related to Zantac use. News reports in 2019 and 2020 detailed how numerous manufacturers and pharmacies that distributed Zantac were issuing recalls due to the presence of NDMA, a known carcinogen, in Zantac shipments. It was later discovered that, as a result of an inherent defect in the Zantac pill, itself, Zantac actually breaks down into NDMA, exposing users to excessive doses of the cancer-causing chemical. It was also discovered that major pharmaceutical companies (Boehringer Ingelheim, Sanofi, Pfizer) knew of this problem, but never warned their customers of the dangers.
