$1,200,000 Settlement - Spinal Fracture Home Care Fall Negligence Wrongful Death

$1.2 million settlement for the family of an 83-year-old man in suburban Chicago, who died after a fall while under the watch of an in-home care provider. The older man fell and fractured his spine while attempting to make a trip to the bathroom. He died from his injury. His caretaker had fallen asleep on the job. The defendant caretaker and healthcare company admitted negligence and that their negligence caused the older man’s death.
