$375,000 Settlement – Elevator Workplace Injury Workers' Comp

While working as an elevator mechanic helper, our client was instructed by the elevator mechanic to go into the pit below the elevator to stop the elevator door counterweight. The counterweight was not secured before our client was directed to work on it. The counterweight fell and struck our client in the right arm, causing a mid-shaft radius fracture, which required surgery. He was left with reduced range of motion in his arm, pain with its use, and lifting restrictions.
