$4,100,000 Settlement – Chicago Police Wrongful Shooting Death of Flint Farmer
June 7, 2011, Chicago Police Officer Gildardo Sierra shot Flint Farmer, an unarmed 29-year-old, seven times. The last three shots were captured on squad car video, which showed Farmer lying on his side in the fetal position.
Police had responded to an alleged domestic battery call when Farmer ran from the scene. Before this incident, Officer Sierra had been involved in three police-related shootings during 2011 but was still on the job.
