$525,000 Settlement – Medical Malpractice Surgical Error Drop Foot

A 56-year-old female underwent microdiscectomy surgery at Loyola University Medical Center to address an L2-L3 herniation. During the procedure, the Plaintiff’s peroneal nerve was injured--allegedly due to improper positioning--and she sustained an undiagnosed intraoperative CSF leak. As a result, she suffered drop foot affecting her left leg, plus numbness/weakness in her lower extremities.
