$690,661 Settlement – Pharmaceutical Product Liability Cancer Wrongful Death

As part of a class action settlement paid for by Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A. Inc., the family of a male who was prescribed the drug Actos for treatment of diabetes in 2006, was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2010, and died in 2011 received restitution. Allegedly, Actos caused the development of the bladder cancer, and the defendant manufacturer had failed to warn consumers of the risks associated with the use of the drug.
