$865,000 Settlement – Sexual Abuse Adult Day Care Bus Transportation Negligence

A settlement was reached involving a 75-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s Disease who was sexually abused on a bus in southwestern Illinois during 2016. An adult day care center that knew she was vulnerable arranged the Plaintiff's transportation. She was raped on an empty bus by the driver, and there was neither a video camera nor a chaperone in the vehicle, even though the bus company had at least one prior sexual assault of a passenger.
