Civil rights law firm investigating death of 19-year-old killed by Lafayette Co. deputy

A civil rights law firm announced Thursday that it’s investigating the death of a 19-year-old who was shot and killed by a Lafayette County deputy.

The Chicago-based firm, Romanucci & Blandin, said its investigation will examine the events leading up to Saveion McConnell’s death – and will demand full transparency from all law enforcement agencies involved.
