Family files civil lawsuit over abuse of their special needs child at RPS school

A Rockford family has filed a civil lawsuit against Rockford Public Schools after they alleged their seven-year-old non-verbal special needs child was physically assaulted.

The case was discussed Wednesday morning at a press conference at the Embassy Suites with the family's lawyers in attendance and speaking on their behalf.
