Family of man killed in Humboldt Park CPD shooting sues police, city: 'They chased an innocent man'

The lawsuit alleges Walzer escalated the situation by threatening Jordan and firing through the passenger-side window 20 seconds after arriving at the scene.

Attorney Antonio Romanucci, who represents Jordan’s estate, said, “because the shooting and killing of Derrick Jordan was so outrageous, shocked the conscience of so many, we need the public to see what happened. If they haven’t seen it, they must see what happened when Officer Walser arrived on scene.”
