American Association for Justice (AAJ) honors Antonio M. Romanucci with Howard Twiggs Award

Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, is pleased to announce that Founding Partner Antonio M. Romanucci was honored by the American Association for Justice (AAJ) with the Howard Twiggs Award. The recognition took place July 18, 2022 during the organization’s annual conference in Seattle.

This award recognizes an AAJ member whose “passion, civility, cordiality, and professionalism reflect the high standards set by Attorney Howard Twiggs; and whose courtroom advocacy and distinguished service to AAJ have brought honor to the trial bar and the legal profession.”

Antonio has held a wide variety posts within AAJ over the years, and he is currently the Chair of the AAJ National Finance Council, a member of the AAJ Exchange Advisory Committee and a member of the AAJ Evergreen Advisory Board. Previous roles include serving as the Judiciary Liaison for the State of Illinois, Chair of the Ethylene Oxide Litigation Group, PAC Trustee, Chair of the Police Misconduct Litigation Group and the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group, and a Member of the AAJ Board of Governors, among others.

As a career litigator, Antonio has achieved success - often with historic results - for his clients across a variety of practice areas, including being co-counsel representing the family of George Floyd in the $27 million settlement with the City of Minneapolis, being Lead Counsel in the case against Sterigenics for emitting cancer-causing ethylene oxide in Willowbrook, Illinois, and serving on the Plaintiffs Steering Committee for the case against Boeing for the 737 Max Ethiopian Air tragedy.  Antonio was named Leading Lawyer’s Civil Rights Lawyer of the Year in 2022, Chicago Lawyer magazine’s Person of the Year in 2021, and he was also named to Chicago Magazine’s New Power 30 list of Chicagoans creating positive change last year.
