Pre-Suit Settlement for Automobile Accident that Injured a Young Mom
Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, announces the settlement of an automobile case from Marshall County, Illinois, in which a 28-year-old mother was injured. Sarah Perrin suffered injury to her right shoulder in a May 14, 2019 accident that took place when Jolene Bobinski made an illegal right turn, slamming into a car where Perrin was a passenger. Bobinski was cited and found guilty for causing the accident. The injuries suffered by Perrin caused her to require surgery and physical therapy, made her unable to be employed or care for her 2-year-old son. Just days prior to her injury, Sarah had become a licensed physical therapist.
The parties involved have agreed to a settlement of $285,000 which is one of the highest reported settlements in Marshall County over the last several years.
“The negligence that caused this preventable automobile collision was life changing for Ms. Perrin, and have drastically and negatively impacted her life,” said Michael R. Grieco, Attorney at Romanucci & Blandin, LLC. “Her injuries have required extensive medical treatment, and even so, continue to reduce her quality of life and that of her entire family. The message sent by this settlement is that all drivers are accountable for their decisions behind the wheel.”
