Romanucci & Blandin concerned by alleged hidden camera at TJ Maxx in Machesney Park
The Romanucci & Blandin legal team, which represents clients in cases involving hidden camera exploitation, is deeply concerned by yet another report of alleged secret videotaping—this time involving a TJ Maxx store in Machesney Park, Illinois—at a business where women and children should be able to expect privacy.
Criminal Charges Filed Following Dressing Room Discovery
Winnebago County authorities report that a store manager at the TJ Maxx, located at 1009 W. Lane Road in Machesney Park, has been charged after a customer discovered a camera in the women’s dressing room.
Firm Represents Victims of Hidden Camera Exploitation
Romanucci & Blandin represents multiple clients—both adults and children—who were recorded without their knowledge in places where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, including retail and hotel bathrooms as well as medical treatment rooms. The firm also supports legislation introduced by Illinois State Representative Curtis Tarver to strengthen accountability in hidden camera cases, particularly when children are harmed. Senior Partner Michael Holden recently testified in Springfield in support of the bill.
