Senior Attorney Sarah M. Raisch honored by Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s 40 Under Forty for 2025

September 16, 2025

CHICAGO (September 17, 2025) – Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, is pleased to announce that Senior Attorney Sarah M. Raisch has been named to the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s 40 Under Forty list for 2025.

Sarah proudly represents survivors of sexual abuse, especially in institutional settings such as schools, healthcare facilities and hospitals, and correctional facilities. In 2025, she was one of the lead trial attorneys on the trial team that secured a $15 million verdict against a Chicago-area high school district for failing to protect a male student from sexual abuse by a female teacher. Sarah has had significant successes representing clients in medical negligence cases, too. She was part of the trial team earning a $40 million verdict for a young client paralyzed because of medical negligence in 2023, and a $2 million verdict for a young patient harmed by a negligent pediatric surgeon in 2024. She also represents victims and survivors of gun violence, including those harmed or killed in Club Q in Colorado Springs, Colorado and the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Sarah is one of the lead attorneys in the ongoing civil rights litigation for the family of Tyre Nichols, who was killed by Memphis Police Department officers after a traffic stop. Additionally, she secured a successful outcome in a pro bono Hague Convention case that allowed a mother to remain safely in the United States with her child.

In April of 2025, Sarah was appointed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker to serve as a member of the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission (TIRC). She is one of 16 members of the Commission, which is committed to fairly and accurately investigating claims that torture was used to obtain confessions leading to criminal convictions and, where warranted, providing those claimants a means of relief.

Before Romanucci & Blandin, Sarah spent a decade with the Office of the Lake County Public Defender, building up a meaningful history of trial experience, including taking 20 cases to jury verdict.  She is also a proud “Double Badger,” having attended the University of Wisconsin for college and law school.

“Being named one of Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s Forty Under Forty for 2025 is a result of Sarah’s clear commitment to seeking accountability and justice for her clients. We are proud of the work she does and look forward to her continued success,” stated Romanucci & Blandin Managing and Senior Partner Gina M. DeBoni.
