The family of Jacki Sundheim recounts their grief one year following Highland Park parade shooting

Approaching the one-year mark since the tragic Fourth of July parade mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois, ABC 7 Chicago sits down with the family of Jacki Sundheim, who lost her life that day. Jacki was married to Bruce for 32 years, was a beloved mother to Leah, and worked for decades at North Shore Congregation Israel. Her dedication and love for her family and community were unmatched. A lawsuit has been filed against the individuals and entities responsible for the shooting — Smith & Wesson, online gun distributor Bud’s Gun Shop, Illinois gun retailer Red Dot Arms, the shooter, and the shooter’s father — for their respective roles in making it possible for the shooter to carry out the massacre. The survivors, including the Sundheims, are represented by Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, Everytown Law, and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
