Antonio M. Romanucci and Frank A. Sommario honored with Justinian Society of Lawyers 2026 President's Philanthropy Awards
CHICAGO, IL (January 15, 2026) — Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, is pleased to announce that Romanucci & Blandin Founding Partner Antonio M. Romanucci and Senior Partner Frank A. Sommario have received the Justinian Society of Lawyers (JSOL) 2026 President’s Philanthropy and Legacy in Leadership Awards. The awards were presented on January 14, 2026 at Gibsons restaurant in Rosemont, Illinois by JSOL current President Catherine R. (Caifano) Locallo during the JSOL Past Presidents dinner.
Romanucci & Blandin has a long and proud history of supporting the JSOL. Romanucci climbed the ranks of the organization, ultimately serving as President in 2002 and spent a decade on the JSOL Executive Committee. During that time, he established the Children’s Endowment Fund (CEF) – a branch of the Justinian Endowment Fund, which is the fundraising arm of the Justinian Society of Lawyers and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The mission of the CEF is to assist disabled or disadvantaged children in our community. Since its founding, Romanucci and his fellow Justinian members have raised crucial funds for a wide range of recipients, including Make-A-Wish Foundation, Bear Necessities, Ronald McDonald House of Chicagoland, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and others.
Sommario has been an active member of the JSOL since law school, has held numerous roles within the organization, most notably Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President three times before being installed as the President in 2016. He continues to play an integral role with the organization, currently serving as Justinian Society Endowment Fund Chairman, where he dedicates himself to fundraising and selecting worthy organizations to support. He has also served as the JSOL Comptroller since 2017.
For their service and commitment, both Romanucci and Sommario have also received the Justinian Society of Lawyers Award of Excellence – Romanucci in 2016 and Sommario in 2021.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized by the Justinian Society of Lawyers with this year’s Philanthropy Award, said Romanucci. “As Italian Americans, it is imperative that we support our fellow Justinian’s, other professional organizations, and give back to our communities however we can.”
“It means a lot to be celebrated by my fellow Justinian leaders who have demonstrated an unwavering dedication to justice and service within our community, Sommario noted. “I am continuously proud to support the Justinian Society and its future successes and am honored to have been chosen for this Philanthropy award.”
Since founding the Justinian Society of Lawyers in 1921, this venerable institution has become one of the largest ethnic bar associations in the United States. Its Italian-American members are among the most active and influential in the legal profession. The Society takes great pride in its contributions to the practice of law and the administration of the justice system. To learn more, visit www.justinians.org.
