Background
Eric is a Senior Paralegal who works with Senior Partner Frank A. Sommario on Workers’ Compensation and Workplace Injury cases. He oversees and handles the Workers’ Compensation practice’s client relationships, docket, and case management from initial intake through final case resolution.
Since joining the firm in 2013, Eric has played a vital role in many important cases, with the most notable being a 2019 verdict and settlement resulting from a 2015 police pursuit in a car crash that injured a family traveling through Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood to attend the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, killing a mother of five in the van. Eric’s efforts helped Romanucci & Blandin obtain over $19 million in a settlement and forced an internal investigation by the Chicago Police Department into violations of their policies regarding police pursuits.
He is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, a Notary Public of the State of Illinois and a member of the American Association of Notaries.
A proud father of three, Eric enjoys spending time with his family and often uses his free time to watch his children’s sports games, including those of his oldest daughter, who plays collegiate softball. Eric is also a passionate fan of the Bears and White Sox.
