Frank A. Sommario inducted as Fellow in The College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers
CHICAGO, IL (April 20, 2026) — Romanucci & Blandin, a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, is pleased to announce that Senior Partner Frank A. Sommario was inducted as a Fellow of The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers’ Class of 2026. The induction ceremony was held Saturday, April 18, in Tucson, Arizona.
Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by one’s colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication, and excellence. With the current installation, the College is represented by over 500 members, including workers’ compensation plaintiff and defense attorneys, professors, and judges nationwide in 48 states, the District of Columbia, and the Canadian Provinces of Quebec and Ontario. The College was established in 2007 and operates as a free-standing organization that recognizes those who, through long and outstanding service, have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field.
Frank has been a leader in the Workers’ Compensation area of law for years, holding numerous roles in the IL Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association (WCLA). He is the organization’s Past President and current Comptroller. Frank has achieved meaningful results for injured workers throughout his years with Romanucci & Blandin, including $6 million, $3.375 million, and $800,000, as well as an Illinois Workers’ Compensation Arbitration and Commission decision in a COVID-19-related death case. He has also published multiple blog posts on Workers’ Compensation, sharing his professional experience. Further, Frank is a recognized leader in the legal profession, where he is a member of the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), the Immediate Past President and current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Italian American Bar Association (NIABA), Past President of the Justinian Society of Lawyers and current Comptroller of the organization, and Chairman of the Justinian Society Endowment Fund, among other roles.
