Background

Lucy is Senior Paralegal, Team Lead for the Medical Malpractice team, as well as the Personal Injury, Premises Liability and Transportation & Car Accidents teams. She is also Senior Paralegal to Partners Joseph E. Kolar and Michael E. Holden. In her Team Lead role, Lucy provides guidance and direction to paralegals, facilitating communication and collaboration among attorneys on the team and mentoring and coaching team members.

After joining Romanucci & Blandin in 2022 as a Medical Malpractice Paralegal, Lucy was promoted to Senior Paralegal in 2024. Her work has contributed to notable verdicts and settlements, including a $40 million medical malpractice verdict, a $35 million birth injury settlement, a $28.7 million medical malpractice wrongful death verdict, a $6 million medical malpractice wrongful death settlement, a $2.9 million medical malpractice wrongful death settlement, a $2 million medical malpractice verdict and a $1.3 million dental malpractice wrongful death verdict and a medical sex abuse mass tort settlement, among other confidential outcomes for R&B clients.

Before R&B, Lucy was a paralegal at law firms that handled family law, intellectual property, and personal injury cases. Lucy obtained a B.A. after graduating early from Trinity Christian College with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She is a member of the Notary Public Association of Illinois and the Chicago Paralegal Association. 

In her free time, Lucy enjoys Cubs games, activism, her two cats and The Sims.
