David A. Neiman is a personal injury and consumer rights attorney who has successfully litigated a variety of cases throughout the country. David has spent much of his career representing victims and their families in cases involving medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, transportation accidents, including automobile crashes and aviation disasters, and police misconduct cases. Most recently, he has focused his practice on mass tort and class action litigation, including consumer protection matters involving insurance products and claims.

David currently holds various leadership positions in mass tort and class action cases, an indication of the respect he has earned over the years from his peers and the judiciary. Notably, David was recently named to the Interim Plaintiffs Steering Council for the class action litigation related to the Chemtool fire in Rockton, Illinois on June 14, 2021. Additionally, he has been appointed lead counsel in the consolidated action arising out of injuries more than 60 residents, passersby, and first responders sustained because of an ammonia chemical spill that occurred in Beach Park, Illinois on April 25, 2019. He, along with firm founder Antonio M. Romanucci, is also serving on the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee in a case against The Boeing Company, amongst others, representing victims of the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 that crashed on March 10, 2019.

As the Partner for the firm’s complex litigation practice, David has also taken a lead role in representing businesses, including restaurants and other retail store owners, that have sustained devastating financial losses related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is assisting them in seeking payments rightfully due from their insurance companies for business interruption losses. He is also representing Illinois automobile insurance policyholders in proposed class action lawsuits filed against numerous insurance companies for failing to provide fair and appropriate insurance premium relief due to significantly reduced miles travelled during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to joining Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, David was a partner at Baizer Kolar Neiman P.C. In his last two trials at that firm, David earned verdicts on behalf of his clients totaling $70 million. In May 2018, David was part of the trial team with Bob Baizer and Joe Kolar that obtained a $25 million verdict for the wrongful death of a 43-year-old woman for failure to identify and remove an ovarian mass ultimately leading to a terminal cancer diagnosis. In March 2019, David first chaired a trial in which he obtained a $45 million verdict for the family of a woman who was killed in a car crash in Lake County, Illinois.

David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio majoring in American Studies. He then attended law school at William and Mary School of Law and Northwestern University School of Law. While in law school, David worked at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Following law school, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge John Daniel Tinder with the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.

David is involved with several community non-profit organizations. He is on the Board of Directors of the North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic and served as the Board’s Chairman from 2017-2019. Under David’s leadership, The Clinic expanded from a local legal aid clinic serving two communities to now serving more than ten in the areas of immigration, domestic violence, and landlord/tenant issues. David is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Deerfield Park Foundation, which offers financial assistance to those in the community in need. Lastly, David serves on the Audit & Finance Committee of Lambs Farm, an organization that provides vocational and residential services for over 250 adults with developmental disabilities.
